Services to reflect and identify the needs of the community

The Chatt Centre is Maitland’s Community and Information Centre.  We offer a wide variety of services within the Centre.  The Centre is outfitted with several computers and laptops are also available.  Ideal for running small training seminars.  There are also computers available for public use.  Please book a computer if you think you are going to need it for more then 10 minutes.  We are also happy to do any printing for you, including photographs.  There is a small charge for use of the internet.  

The Chatt Centre offers a full range of secretarial services such as typing, printing, faxing, photocopying etc.  As well as these services, we are happy to type up letters or other documents for you, help you work on your resume right through to designing party invitations, brochures or flyers.  No job is too great or too small, so please ask our friendly staff for a quote.

We offer fantastic courses for those wanting to learn how to use a computer right through to Advanced courses.  Some of our courses are accredited and others are not.  Courses we run include Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.  Getting to know your computer, Basic internet and email as well as specialised courses in photo and video editing.  Give the centre a call or check out the link to workshops to see what is running at the moment.  You could even get 5 of your friends together and we will run the course just for you.

Finally, we also offer several levels of room hire from our Boardroom, computer room, Office spaces right through to the Hall or even Kitchen.  Our most popular is what we call walk in, walk out, where you let us know what equipment you need, how many people you are expecting, and whether you need catering and we do the rest.  We can even put together your overhead transparencies or PowerPoint presentation.  When you arrive everything is all set up for you and at the end of the day we will clean up for you.  If this is the way you want to go, give Kerry a call and she will let you know how much it will cost as it is dependant on each booking.
